LAURENCE DYOTTE

My name is Laurence, I am a photographer and videographer from Montreal. For as long as I can remember, I've always loved listening to people's conversations. I was the kid sitting at the adult table listening to the crazy stories from the aunts and the uncles. This passion for observing people interact and respond to story telling followed me into my work today. My journey as a photographer began with a fascination for capturing humans and their stories. I love documenting, but most of all, creating visual storytelling.

Because of my profound fascination for the human experience, I am naturally drawn to people and curious about what they have to say. I have a keen ability to make my subjects feel comfortable. I’ve also recently been loving creating short films as well. I love coming up with ideas for various scenarios. I have a clear idea of what I want to say and I do so by expressing myself visually and make it come to life

I imagine a future where my work is recognized for its unique aesthetic and emotional depth. Whether it's in museums or on screens, I aspire to leave a lasting visual impact.
