DRIFT SERENDIPITY
My favorite movie of all time is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. This might be really random, however, it can explain so much of myself in just 108 minutes. With this movie, you can tell that I’m a daydreamer. You will assume I believe in destiny, but you will know for sure that I’m a romantic. I just am. The way this film explores the depths of love, loss and memory resonnates with me on a deeper level. It reminds me of my own experiences of growth and change over the past few months, and how love has the power to shape who we are.
My short film, Drift Serendipity, is a reminder to never not love unconditionally even if you are hurting because no amount of pain should affect the way you treat other people. This book is an ode to the process, to figuring it out, to trying and trying and trying even harder, to believing you can do this even when people tell you it is too much work, to pushing through despite the many problems that will get in your way. Because if you can’t enjoy the process then the result is not worth watching
